From Tech Exit to Every Summit — A Quest to Conquer All 193 Countries, 7 Summits, and Both Poles

In this compelling session, Jason Wang takes the audience inside his journey to climb the Seven Summits—the highest mountains on each continent. Far more than a checklist of peaks, Jason’s talk explores the physical endurance, mental resilience, logistics, and cultural encounters that define high-altitude mountaineering. He shares firsthand insights into preparation, risk management, and decision-making in extreme environments, along with the lessons learned from success, setbacks, and survival. This presentation offers a rare look at what it truly takes to stand atop the world’s most iconic mountains—and how those experiences reshape one’s perspective on travel, ambition, and personal limits.

BIO

Jason Wang is a former tech entrepreneur who sold his company in 2014 and walked away from the corporate world in August 2016 to pursue one of the most ambitious travel quests on the planet: visiting all 193 UN-recognized countries, summiting the Seven Summits, and reaching both the North and South Poles. He has since climbed all seven of the world’s highest continental peaks — including Everest — reached the South Pole, and set foot in 184 countries, with no intention of slowing down. His journey is a testament to what becomes possible when you trade the familiar for the extraordinary.
