What makes a man travel repeatedly on trips that put his life at risk? It is the promise of finding something greater than himself.

Singh started his career early as a teenage travel TV show host; today finds him as a professional war documentary maker globe such as DRC and Iraq.  Wannasingh “Singh” Prasertkul always knew that his ultimate destination was not some far flown destination.  Yet it took him more than 15 years of traveling non-stop to find inner-peace he needed in order to come back and truly be “here”.

In this talk, Singh shares his journeys into the darkest and most violent corners on earth. In his quest for meaning, he found adventures, friendship, heartache, mental breakdowns, and yet both hope and despair for humanity.

And yes, finally, he found his way back home.

Wannasingh Prasertkul is a seasoned traveler and accomplished documentary maker from Thailand with a passion for exploring the world, collecting new understandings, and sharing stories that inspire and enlighten.

With a background in film making and a thirst to be a part of something greater, Wannasingh has embarked on numerous expeditions to remote and dangerous corners of the globe such as Somalia, Ukraine, and Afghanistan, uncovering hidden stories and capturing the essence of lives in various war-torn and conflict zones through his documentaries.

From his experiences, he found that it is in such kind of places, the overwhelming adversities truly brings the rawest form of humanity out in the open. The “good” and the “bad” wars do really show us who we are.

Wannasingh’s insightful storytelling and vivid imagery have graced the screens of leading television networks, captivating audiences and igniting a sense of understanding of “what is out there” for viewers around Thailand.

Through his travels and filmmaking, Wannasingh continues to inspire curiosity, empathy, and a deeper appreciation for the rich tapestry of human experiences that unite us all.
