BIO

Jesper Grønkjær is one of the world’s most extraordinary magicians, and he has made it his mission to travel to the farthest corners of the globe to show that a smile is the language we all speak.

He has a special gift for making people open up when he travels the world. He meets with drug addicts, priests, politicians, cancer patients, and many others. Hear, among other things, about his encounter with the feared female mass murderer known as “The She-Devil,” with 400 lives on her conscience.

Jesper balances sharply between humor and seriousness in his encounters with strangers. Each meeting turns into heartfelt conversations, which he later shares through his books, lectures, and TV documentaries.

For 25 years, he has traveled the world, gathering personal stories. He has sailed on a raft down the Amazon River to perform for Indians in South America, lived with Tibetan monks in the Himalayas, tribal communities in New Guinea, gangsters in Honduras, and Bedouins in the Sahara.
His magic has taken him behind bars in dangerous prisons in Central America and performing in North Korea.  After that visit,  he spent two years traveling the world interviewing North Korean defectors who escaped Kim Jong-un’s reign of terror and now live under secret identities. Jesper has written a book about them.

He is now a member of the “Adventurers’ Club,” alongside some of the most legendary globetrotters.

“5 stars (*): Jesper is a born storyteller, and this storytelling gift runs like a lifeblood through the entire book and show, which consist of a series of wonderful stories and a wealth of fascinating images”

Jesper knows what happens when you meet the world with a smile instead of skepticism. He is called the Ambassador of Smiles – and after hearing his talk, you will know why!
